Ambulance Station

The Ambulance Station Site was transformed into a high-quality new-build residential development, comprising a mix of housing types designed to meet the needs of private homeowners. The scheme included five private family houses and a three-storey apartment block containing nine self-contained flats, all arranged to create a well-balanced, cohesive community layout.

Cooper Homewood were appointed to deliver the full design across the entire site. Our scope of work spanned from initial concept through to technical delivery and included all aspects of building services integration to ensure comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability.

Key responsibilities included the design and coordination of site-wide utilities infrastructure, ensuring that incoming services for water, electricity, and drainage were properly integrated to support the development’s phased construction and future operational needs.

Cooper Homewood also developed the specification and detailed design of a low-carbon heat source strategy, providing sustainable heating and hot water solutions in line with current environmental standards and planning requirements.

The engineering design also incorporated energy-efficient lighting, power distribution, ventilation systems, and controls tailored to the residential context. Throughout the project, Cooper Homewood worked closely with the client, architects, and contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of coordinated building services that aligned with both the technical brief and the overall vision for the development.
